The Edge 1040 features a 3.5” touchscreen display, longer, 35-hour battery life and additional training and connectivity features. It uses Multi-band GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo) satellites and a barometric altimeter, accelerometer, gyroscope, and more so you can know how far, fast, hard, and high you’ve ridden. The Edge 1040 has navigation with turn prompts, courses, heatmap data, trailforks data, location searches and even shows you how to get back to the start. It is compatible with Varia cycling awareness accessories, as well is power meter compatible and can be integrated with Shimano Di2 shifting and Shimano Steps. This model is the solar powered Garmin Edge 1040 and uses Power Glass to extend your battery life.
