Local beginner-friendly MTB races are coming up!

Local Beginner-Friendly MTB Races

Are you interested in mountain bike racing but hesitate to sign up? We are here to encourage you to try it out! Signing up for a local race is a great way to challenge yourself as a rider AND support your local trails at the same time.

As luck would have it, we have two local races coming up in the next few weeks. Proceeds for these races directly benefits the corresponding trail building and trail maintenance efforts. Plus, they’re great events for new racers because they’re the trails you know and ride often, you may be racing with people you already know, and it’s a super fun and supportive environment.

Conte’s MTB Cup

About West Delray Regional Park MTB Trails

As with all Florida trails, it’s very flat, but takes advantage of every hill and elevation change. More hills are being added in the center sand section of the trail. It is well-maintained by volunteers through the local biking club, FORCE in conjunction with the park.

While trails in Florida tend to be flat, the trail builders added many technical elements – turns, rocks, mounds, and tree roots/branches all make this trail more fun. Also, it is really a pretty ride through canopied tropics, lakes, and swamp land. Plus, recent development includes the addition of a full blown jump line complete.

About Club Scrub

The Camp Murphy MTB Trails at Jonathan Dickinson State Park are one of the premier trail systems in South Florida.

Founded by a handful of mountain bike enthusiasts, Club Scrub is a committee of the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Inc. dedicated to the care, preservation, and promotion of the Camp Murphy MTB trails. Built on the footprint of a top-secret WW2 radar training base that shares its name, Club Scrub has just over 10 miles of trail that runs through the scrub and over ancient sand dunes.

From flowing trails to difficult climbs and jumps, there is sure to be something for everyone, beginner to advance.
